The first need to choice the lamp that you like and fits the decor of your bathroom. With the fluorescent lamps you have many choices when it comes to color properties of lamp. Two main color properties that you must know about are the color temperature and the color rendering.

3. Light Distribution.

The light distribution is one more key element in the effective mirror lighting. Shadow less light is very simple on eyes, and fluorescent sources are well-suited to the task. Spotlights, small halogens or clear bulbs need plenty of shielding and diffusion from fixture for the glare control. This may tend to reduce light level necessitating use of the higher watts.

4. Fixture Style.

While choosing the fixture style you should select the one that has translucent lens. If the lens are very clear than the fixture might be too glaring. And if it is opaque it may not pass sufficient light to your face.
